This animated short was a one-month project with Coby Mercado. Although the nature of the film is primarily an academic requirement, Coby went above and beyond this requirement and turned it into an opportunity to reflect on the life and death of his dearly-loved gramps.
It took me a little over a week to compose and master the score for this short. While I only worked on this project for a relatively brief amount of time, it was a privilege for me to have been a part of this short. As someone who’s already lost both of his grandfathers, Coby’s words and sentiments hit very close to home on a deeply personal level.
